Does Premera Cover Rehab?

The coverage that you have through Premera will be dependent on the specific health care package that you have. For example, Premera offers three plans with varying coverages and costs.

Premera’s high deductible health plan (HDHP) comes with a lower monthly payment. However, when you do need coverage, your deductible will be higher as a result. You will have a health savings account that can help supplement the cost of your deductible.

Premera offers a preferred provider plan (PPO) as well. This plan allows you to see healthcare providers who are considered in and out of the network. This plan does have a lower deductible when compared to their HDHP. Additionally, you may be eligible for a health savings account to help with your health care costs.

Lastly, Premera has an exclusive provider organization, also known as an EPO. With this plan, you will find that fewer providers are considered in-network, and you will have to have a Primary Care Physician who can make appropriate specialist referrals if necessary.

When you choose to have Premera as your healthcare provider, you can customize your plan to your needs and budget. These factors will directly impact your deductibles, monthly fees, and services included in your coverage.

That said, the amount of coverage you will receive for addiction treatment will depend on your specific health care plan. Most plans provided by Premera do offer some coverage of addiction treatment programs. This may include detoxification, inpatient rehab programs, partial hospitalization programs, and various forms of outpatient treatment.

Sequoia Recovery Centers are considered a Premera Spokane rehab. Our programs are designed to help you during the first 5 to 7 days of your recovery. We are a medically supervised program, so our staff will continuously monitor for health concerns that can arise during this process. How to Find Treatment Programs That Accept Premera Health

Reaching the point in your addiction where you recognize that your use is problematic and you are willing to accept help is no easy feat to get to. It may have taken a few years or a few decades to get to this point.

Learning about the different treatment options and the variations in healthcare coverage can make finding a treatment provider feel overwhelming. There are individuals who can help you navigate this process and get you to where you need to be.

One resource you have is your Primary Care Physician or a Mental Health Provider. Both of these providers are familiar with the stages of addiction and the various forms of treatment available. After learning more about your concerns and goals, they can help you narrow down which level of care would be the best fit and discuss their referrals with you.

Additionally, you could contact a Premera healthcare representative. While this individual may not be able to tell you which level of care would be ideal for you, they can provide you with some insight into your healthcare plan’s benefits and limitations. Your Premera representative will also be able to provide you with a list of in-network providers whom you could work with.
